RT7786 系列专为搭配 RT7207 等控制器而设计，以提供 USB PD 或可编程电源适配器的完整解决方案。RT7786 能够实现高效率性能、符合安全标准，并具备低待机功耗，在 5V 待机条件下通常低于 30mW。RT7786 提供多项创新功能，以提供具备宽范围输出电压的解决方案。通过使用 DMAG 引脚，RT7786 可检测输出电压，以调节环路增益来维持系统稳定性、调节输出过压的阈值电压以保护外部器件，并调节电流限制以符合 Limited Power Source (LPS) 安全要求。RT7786 亦配备完整的保护功能，包括 brown-in/brown-out 保护、VDD 过压保护 (VDD OVP)、输出过压 / 欠压保护 (Output OVP/UVP)、次级侧整流器短路保护 (SRSP)，以及外部过温保护 (External OTP)。对于具备恒定输出功率调节的应用，可使用连接至 CS 引脚的电阻，在通用输入电压范围内实现精准的线路补偿。RT7786 亦提供多种功能，以防止次级侧元件（例如 RT7207 或分流稳压器）发生故障。由于各种器件、线缆、插头与插座的连接方式多样且未知，RT7786 与 RT7207 可搭配使用，以实现坚固且安全的设计，防止所有潜在故障情境。
