RT7791系列产品是针对USB PD或可编程电源适配器设计的PWM控制器，可与RT7202等控制器一道形成完整的电源解决方案，使最终方案具有效率高、满足安全标准、5V输出的待机损耗低于50mW等特性。</br>RT7791在设计上包含许多创新的理念，为宽输出电压的应用提供了良好的解决方案。通过DMAG引脚的使用，RT7791可以测知输出电压并据此调节环路增益以实现系统稳定、调节过压保护阈值以保护外围元件、调节电流限制阈值以满足受限电源的安全需求。</br>RT7791系列产品均具有完备的保护性功能设计，包括输入电容Brown-In/Brown-Out保护、VDD过压保护、输出过压/欠压保护、次级整流器短路保护和外围元件过热保护。为了实现恒定输出功率调节，连接在CS引脚的电阻可在全输入电压范围内被用于获得精确的线性补偿。当变压器次级侧的元件如RT7202、分流式调节器等出现失效故障时，RT7791还具有多项保护特性予以应对。</br>RT7791和RT7202结合在一起所形成的系统是稳定而又安全的，可以防范各种危险情形可能带来的伤害，其中就包括各种常用和未知的连接形式，如与设备的连接，与不同的电缆、插头、插座等的连接。
