RT8078A 是高效率的同步降压型 DC/DC 转换器，可在 2.7V~5.5V 输入电压范围内工作，输出在 0.6V~V<sub>IN</sub> 之间可调的电压，最大可输出 4A 的电流。因为使用了内部同步的低导通电阻功率开关，在得到高效率的同时还无需使用外部肖特基二极管。开关切换的工作频率是恒定的 1MHz，可达100%的占空比使之可以工作在低压差状态，因而扩展了便携式应用中的电池使用时间。使用内部补偿的电流模式控制架构赋予其优化的瞬态响应特性，可在宽阔的负载范围和输出电容下工作。它工作在 PWM 模式下以获得在很宽负载范围内的高转换效率。RT8078A 的封装是 WDFN-10L 3x3 和 SOP-8（含有散热焊盘）。
