RT8234A 是同时集成了一个3A线性稳压器的低成本同步 Buck PWM 控制器，可将笔记本电脑中的电池高电压转换为低电压供系统使用，具有转换效率高、瞬态响应特性好、输出电压精度高等特点。采用恒定导通时间控制架构的 PWM 控制器可在维持基本恒定工作频率的情况下面对宽阔的输入/输出电压比，在负载发生瞬变时提供实时回应的能力。在音讯应用中，控制器可被设定在超声工作模式（USM）以维持高于 30kHz 的工作频率，避免造成音频干扰。RT8234A 无需使用昂贵的电流检测电阻，可为 CPU 内核、芯片组、DRAM 和其它低压负载提供低达 0.75V 的电源供应。内部集成的 3A 低压差线性稳压器具有快速瞬态响应特性，仅需使用 20μF 陶瓷输出电容即可稳定工作。线性稳压器的输入来自于外部电源供应，最大程度地降低了总的电源消耗。RT8234A 以 WQFN-16L 3x3 的封装供货。
