RT9554A 的设计目标是过流检测。电流流经 CSP 和 CSN 之间的电阻形成的电压被放大 200 倍后与 BAT_REF 端的电压进行比较，检查其是否发生了过流状况。RT9554A 还为其用户准备了一个比较器，它的两个输入端分别名为 AC_REAL 和 AC_REF。<span class="overline">FLAG</span> 是一个输出端，它是开漏配置的，用户可在它和某个电源之间连接一只电阻，一旦过流状况发生，或是 AC_REAL 端的电压高于 AC_REF 端的电压，<span class="overline">FLAG</span> 即被拉低。RT9554A 的封装是 WDFN-8L 2x2。
